Interactive Robotic Dog for People with Dementia and Seniors

The interactive robotic dog offers people with dementia, seniors, and individuals with limited mobility an enjoyable form of engagement and emotional companionship. With its realistic appearance, soft fur, and natural movements, it creates a sense of familiarity and can contribute to a calm and positive atmosphere. Family members and caregivers appreciate the robotic dog as a valuable addition to everyday activities.

Realistic Movements and Natural Reactions

With its size and weight, the robotic dog resembles a real puppy. Its exceptionally soft fur invites users to stroke, cuddle, and groom it. Thanks to integrated sensors and sophisticated motion and vibration technology, the dog responds to touch and interaction.

Natural movement patterns, gentle vibrations, and typical dog sounds create a lifelike impression and make interaction particularly enjoyable. This results in a realistic and familiar experience that encourages engagement, observation, and touch.

Engagement and Emotional Well-Being

Many people associate dogs with positive memories and familiar experiences. The robotic dog builds on these associations and can provide a calming and pleasant activity. Because it responds to touch and displays various behaviors, it offers an interactive experience that encourages petting, observing, and engagement.

Unlike a real pet, the robotic dog requires no care, walks, or regular feeding. Users can therefore enjoy the positive aspects of a pet-like companion without the responsibility of caring for a living animal.

For Use at Home and in Care Facilities

The robotic dog is suitable for both private use and professional care environments. Its realistic appearance and simple interaction options make it a popular companion for people who love animals but are unable to keep a real pet.

Award-Winning Concept

The robotic dogs Amy and Spotty were developed based on modern technological advancements and have received multiple awards. Among other recognitions, they received the Caregiver Friendly Award in the United States for their benefits in caregiving environments. They have also been recognized by the Dementia Society of America.
